Hello,I’m Dr. Trish Corley
As a US licensed doctor of Physical Therapy (known as a physiotherapist in Europe) and a former anatomy professor, I spent years helping people move better. When I discovered yoga, I realized teachers needed what I had - deep anatomical knowledge combined with the confidence to share it clearly. I've experienced yoga across multiple countries, and I've seen the same pattern: amazing teachers struggling with uncertainty, spending hours planning classes, and feeling unprepared when students asked questions. That's when why I created my systematic approach and found the Yoga Anatomy School. I combine my medical background with easy and empowering teaching methods to train teachers all over the world to teach great yoga classes from their heart.
I help yoga teachers build confidence that inspires + transforms.
My approach isn't about perfection. It's about connection. Through my Balanced Posture Alignment framework and systematic teaching methods, I help teachers understand not just what to teach, but why it works and how to share it authentically. Whether you're completing your first 200-hour training or seeking advanced mentorship, my programs combine evidence-based anatomy with empowering mindset work. Students tell me they leave feeling prepared for anything - from challenging postures to unexpected questions.
I believe learning should be fun, accessible, and transformative. This is why my courses blend solid science with humor and heart. My students become part of a global community of confident teachers who support each other's growth. From Portugal to the world, I'm here to help you discover what's possible when you combine anatomical wisdom with authentic teaching. The world needs more teachers who feel genuinely prepared to guide others safely and joyfully.

Running to yoga
Running was my gateway into yoga! What started as a way to stretch my body so I could tolerate long runs became a journey into stretching my mind.

Former Functional Anatomy Professor
I absolutely loved being a functional anatomy professor. I learned how to make complex topics fun and accessible! I learned so much about curriculum design and creating engaging educational experiences that I now bring to all my yoga teacher programs.
Travel anywhere
My husband Mike and I love discovering new places together! We're always excited to explore local wine scenes, hunt for amazing restaurants, and connect with different cultures wherever we go. Travel keeps us curious and inspired!

Lisbon explorer
Originally from the US and having lived in over 10 major cities globally, I now call Lisbon home. Values I live by
Curious Learning
I use science as a valuable tool while staying open to new discoveries. I have more questions than answers, and that's perfectly okay. Curiosity keeps us growing.
Authenticity
Everyone has their own unique voice and path. I give you tools and guidance, but you get to choose how to lead and teach yoga in your own authentic ways.
Connection
I believe in real human connection - between teachers and students, with our own bodies, and with our inner knowing. That's where the magic happens.
Empowerment
True empowerment comes from self-discovery guided by love. I provide tools and space for students and teachers to connect with their own inner wisdom.
