Wrist pain is one of the most common complaints for those who practice yoga regularly. The good news is that wrist pain can be prevented with improved alignment.

This class is for you if you:

Want to experience simple ways to address wrist pain in weight-bearing postures like plank and downward facing dog. Want to learn from your mat and embody anatomy-based cues that allow thousands of people to practice yoga without wrist pain. Desire to practice yoga with a new sense of strength and support in your hands and be able to empower students with the same experience.

About the practice

In The Wrist Practice you will experience an all-levels power vinyasa yoga class with the exact cues Trish uses to prevent wrist pain and build wrist strength and stability.

Trish's own yoga practice is dynamic. She spends a lot of time practicing handstands and planks, and knows that challenging the body is key to keeping it strong and healthy. In her over 20 years as a physical therapist, she saw how the body requires physical stress in order to gain strength and heal. For many people, a lot of time on the hands leads to wrist pain. Rather than jumping straight to modifications or skipping postures, Trish's first focus is on the alignment that allows for prolonged time on the hands.

During a 50-hour Rocket Yoga Teacher Training with a lot of chaturangas and arm balances, Trish noticed some soreness in her own wrists and immediately shifted her focus to alignment. She avoided wrist pain entirely and felt stronger by the end of the training. The Wrist Practice gives you the chance to experience those same alignment cues.

It is not normal to keep experiencing wrist pain in yoga. It is actually quite simple to align the wrists and finally ditch the pain.
